Jurassic Park Movie Review

For my first movie review, I’ve decided to go with my favorite movie, Jurassic Park.

This movie, directed by Steven Spielberg, was released on June 11, 1993. Starring Jeff Goldblum (Ian Malcolm), Laura Dern (Ellie Sattler), Sam Neill (Alan Grant), and Richard Attenborough (John Hammond). This movie is the first of the three Jurassic Park films and the prequel to the Jurassic World films.

Jurassic Park is my favorite movie of all time. It was also the first movie I saw as a kid. With that aside, I’m going to try and be biased for this review… maybe. The first thing you need to know about Jurassic Park is this movie features a couple gruesome scenes, but it isn’t too bad because they provided us with some well-known phrases a lot of people use today. For example, in the movie, Jeff Goldblum’s character says, “When you gotta go, you gotta go.” Then he and Sam Neill head into the climax of the story, but I won’t spoil it in case no one has seen it yet. Steven Speilberg must’ve put a lot of thought into the production of this film. Using animatronic dinosaurs and a script which captivated audiences, and continues to captivate audiences globally. Now for some specifics. The movie has a runtime of two hours and seven minutes. It falls into several movie genres. It is considered to be an Action, Adventure, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Mystery, and Thriller.

My Plan for this Blog

For this blog, I have a couple of ideas. I want to initially review my favorite movies and then have readers pick the third movie I review. I will also be updating my blog every month with the blockbuster movies being released. I’m always open to suggestions so please feel free to contact me with any ideas you may have for topics I should add or things I could change on my blog. One last thing from me, I hope you enjoy my reviews and remember to KEEP WATCHING MOVIES!

Why I decided to make this blog.

I decided to start writing my reviews because I would always hear people say, “Oh that movie didn’t follow the comic book at all!” or “It didn’t happen like that in the book.” Yes, on some level it is important to follow the original storyline to make the movie, but the movie isn’t supposed to be an exact copy of the comic or the book. So, the reason for my reviews… to write reviews which reflect the films themselves, not a review on whether or not it happened according to the comics or to the books. Another reason for this website is my difficulty choosing my major. I am currently undecided, but I love computer science and journalism. So, I figured I’d make a website and write about things I love, these being movies.
